Personal and

Professional Change

Success in the knowledge economy comes to those who know themselves – their strengths, their values, and how they best perform.”
Peter Drucker
“Managing Oneself”

YOU are what you bring to every life experience.
YOU are what you bring to the Leadership Arena.
YOU are what you bring to your profession.
YOU are what you bring to your family.
YOU are what you bring to yourself.

YOU are the constant. You are the most powerful tool that you bring to each life-stage, to each life event, to life position. Recognizing and understanding yourself is the starting point for a successful, personal, familial and family life.

The Center For Life Cycle Sciences began its work in the areas of personal, familial, and professional change. We recognize the power of you. We also recognize that to succeed in each of these life situations “self knowledge,” “self-direction,” and “self development” are the building blocks for the success of YOU.

We include personal development, personal change, personal knowledge, in our coaching work inside each organization that we serve, and each leader that we coach.

We have also developed highly specialized and very powerful, personal, familial and professional development and change programs. A sample of such programs follows.

Know Your Strengths, Know Your Values,
Know Your Vision…Know Yourself
1-Day Program

Most people think they know what they are good at. They are usually wrong. More often, people know what they are not good at – and even then more people are wrong than right. And yet, a person can perform only from strength. One cannot build performance on weakness, let alone on something one cannot do at all.”
-          Peter Drucker
“Managing Oneself”

Peter Drucker recognizes that your personal power lies in your strengths. This intensive 1-Day Program, designed as an experiential, hands-on, personal exploration, into “The Power of YOU.”

The program is designed to explore your personal strengths, particularly at work, your preferences, the kind of work you like to do, your personal values, and your life vision.

Your strengths are identified using an empirically based instrument. Extensive feedback is provided, which helps you understand, recognize, and identify ways to optimize your personal strengths at work.

This inquiry into your personal strengths and preferences, facilitates, in addition to a stronger sense of self, a set of strengths from which to build your future. Knowing your personal strengths and work preferences will help you position yourself in a work-team in the “place of most potential” to make a significant contribution.

This program identifies mechanisms and strategies to encourage each participant to build upon their strengths and to develop ones-self from a place of high-performance, to a position of outstanding performance. The feedback from this instrumentation, the group discussions, the self-insights derived, will allow you to begin to construct a “life-strategy” to take you 5, 10, even 15 years into your future.

This program also creates an opportunity to explore your personal values and your life vision. This is an instrument-based strategy, with empirical feedback to help you identify what is important to you, and what guides your personal, professional, and familial decisions.

Knowing your values and life vision is as important as knowing your strengths. Your values and vision become a standard for evaluating both your personal behavior and your environment. Your values are your cornerstones for building a life structure, and are guideposts for making a life transition. It is your values that give stability, continuity, and predictability, even as you experience life transitions. Your values will also guide you in creating a “life strategy.”

Identifying your life vision creates “future pull” to stimulate focused decision-making, life planning, and opportunistic choices. Your life choices will lead to your desired future.

Knowing your strengths, your values, and your life’s vision will provide guidelines for helping you recognize, identify, and seize the opportunity to position yourself in every area of your life, in the “place of most potential” – where you best perform.

This program will help you evaluate where you are now, look for opportunities to optimize performance, and help you strategize for “life changes” across the remainder of your life cycle.

This is a wonderful program for a conference, convention, or retreat. Some of the participant’s responses to this program are:

“Your seminar drew a record number of participants and numerous requests for a repeat program have been received. Your presentation encompassed all of the key elements required for a superior program. It was education, informative and thought provoking, combined with a sense of humor. The professional manner in which the topic was delivered and the sharing of personal experiences totally captivated the audience and is indicative of the pride you take in presenting a successful program.”

“I have had the opportunity of listening to many speakers over the years on various subjects in the area of behavioral science. Your enthusiasm, knowledge, attitude and openness were the finest that I have ever heard.”

And finally, “You have given me the information I need to deal with a crisis in my life. In addition to my current need I feel that the notes and handouts from your presentation will be a resource for the rest of my life.”
